Developed to explain what it means to have accepted Christ in simple
language. Without the big churchy words it describes how a person can
grow in this new faith.
- ICON Student Ministry Resource Manual - A detailed
description of the purpose, structure, and training modules used by
the ICON Student Ministry staff. Modules include basic counseling
information, small group dynamics, nuts and bolts of student ministry, and more.
For more information on these please contact Dave Coryell, student pastor or call the church office.

CONNECT
- ICON- Sunday nights from 5:15-7:30PM at the Church St. facility during the school year. From 5:15-6PM students gather to hang out and choose their own activity. The options range from ping-pong, foosball, video game stations, nail painting, table games and more while music plays and concession stand food is available. At 6PM we gather for a large group teaching time before heading
to small groups. Power point projection is used to help facilitate the introduction to the evening’s theme. A short time of teaching then occurs before sending students into age specific groups. By 7PM the groups begin heading to the fellowship hall for more games and hang out time.
- A November retreat provides a time for students to bond together and grow in their understanding of God after the end of the Fall rush. We have gone to Three Springs Camp North of Williamsport for the last two years.
CONSTRUCT
- Mission/Service- Monthly opportunities are being planned so that students can serve others and learn how God has wired each of us to serve. Special Olympics, water street, overnight inner-city excursions, serving meals to the senior citizens of the church and more are all options that are provided. The small groups are also beginning to take on certain projects.
- Growth Class- A growth class was begun to help students grow in the foundations of the Christian faith. It also helps them to understand how they can continue to grow closer to God throughout their whole lives. This class will be offered on Sunday mornings for 8 weeks in the Fall and the Spring. An overnight growth retreat is also part of this experience.
- Creation Music Festival- Creation is the largest Christian musical festival. It attracts around 100,000 people each year. Excellent speakers and bands are provided daily but the highlight is the time spent with each other as we bond and grow closer to God through the entire event.
- A future servant-leader program is being designed to help students stay accountable to living the Christian life and loving others into the Kingdom of God. It will also encourage students to grow in their leadership abilities.
CONTACT
- Outreach Events- These events are provided to help our students have opportunities to invite their unconnected peers into a ministry function. Events in the past have included an all-nighter (barn party, bowling, REC center), laser tag, white water rafting, and a large Super Bowl Party. More and more events are beginning to happen through the small groups because they are more effective at outreach.
- Beach Retreat- this event happens annually at the very end of school. It allows students to blow off steam after finals and to celebrate the completion of another school year.
