Stewardship To cultivate a growing relationship with God, the owner of ALL, through the stewarding of Time, Talent, and Treasure. View/Print Stewardship poster Time Stewardship Time is the time spent by an individual with God. This includes but is not limited to, time in prayer, Bible study, Bible reading, Devotions, Worship, and listening to praise music. Luke 5:16 - But Jesus would often go to some place where he could be alone and pray. (The Promise - CEV) Luke 22:39-41 - Jesus went out to the Mount of Olives, as he often did and his disciples went with him. When they got there, he told them, "Pray"... (The Promise - CEV) Talent Stewardship Talent is the use of an individual’s S.H.A.P.E. to further God’s Kingdom. This includes, but is not limited to serving in First Church’s ministries, on various committees, or participating in faith based activities. S.H.A.P.E.
1 Peter 4: 10 - Each of you has been blessed with one of God’s many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift well. (The Promise - CEV) Treasure Stewardship Treasure is the use of God’s provisions to further His Kingdom here on earth. This includes but is not limited to, the Tithe and Offerings, Living Gift/Annuity, Will, Insurance Policy, Stock, Gift-in-Kind, Real Estate, and Memorial. 2 Corinthians 9:7-11 - Each of you must make up you own minds about how much to give. But don’t feel sorry that you must give and don’t feel that you are forced to give. God loves people who love to give. God can bless you with everything you need, and you will always have more than enough to do all kinds of things for others. The Scriptures say, "God freely gives his gifts to the poor, and always does right." God gives seed to farmers and provides everyone with food. He will increase what you have, so that you can give even more to those in need. You will be blessed in every way, and you will be able to keep on being generous. Then many people will thank God when we deliver you gift. (The Promise - CEV) 1 Timothy 6:17-19 - Warn the rich people of this world not to be . proud or to trust in wealth that is easily lost. Tell them to have faith in God, who is rich and blesses us with everything we need to enjoy life. Instruct them to do as many good deeds as they can and to help everyone. Remind the rich to be generous and share what they have. This will lay a solid foundation for the future, so that they will know what true life is like.
