Children's Ministries

We make it fun!
Our Children’s Ministry Team is dedicated to teaching the Word of God to children...and making it fun to learn! We have selected and enhanced our children’s curriculum to challenge and engage our children. We want them to want to know the Lord and desire His presence in their lives. Our mission is to keep the children coming back. Whether it is Sunday school, nursery care or Vacation Bible School, our entire Children’s Ministry team puts their energies into making the experience enjoyable, educational and spirited!

Your children are important to us...
...and to God. Our team of dedicated Children’s Ministry workers strive to deliver meaningful, Bibically-sound, and fun lessons that engage your children’s minds, hearts and bodies. Your child will be introduced to God’s Word and learn how to use its wisdom to guide them through their days. Our child-centered worship and lessons are presented in a safe, secure and comfortable environment filled with love.

Infant Care
Infant childcare is provided in Room 211 during the worship celebrations at 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. in a clean, safe environment. Room 205 is our Mother’s Room for those mothers needing to feed/comfort their children.

Toddler Age to 4 Year Olds
Children ages 18 months to 4 years old are offered age appropriate classes at 10 a.m. on the 3rd floor. At 8:30 a.m. these children are welcome in Room 211 childcare.

Pre-Kindergarten through 6th Grade
Pre-K/K through 6th grades sign in with parents before the service in the back of the sanctuary and are excused during the worship service for our Workshop Rotation Model (WoRM)

Workshop Rotation Model (WoRM)

Children sign in with parents at the Security desk at the back of sanctuary when they arrive. They sit with parents until dismissed in the service. Their “crew leader” will then meet them in the back of the sanctuary and guide them to their workshop. Pick up time after 1st service – 9:30 a.m., after 2nd service, 11:15 a.m. Parents pick up children at the 3rd floor security desk.

Children rotate through a variety of workshops, one each Sunday, during a rotation. Our workshops include Antioch Arcade, Creation Station, Holywood, Apostles Playhouse, Bread of Life Café and others.

There are occasional special event Sundays when there is no WoRM during the 8:30 a.m. service and all children are invited to join in during the 10 a.m. service time.

We make it Safe, Secure and Healthy
To provide a safe, secure experience for all children, parents are asked to sign their children in when they arrive and sign them out when they pick them up. Security desks are located in the nursery room (211), in the back of the sanctuary and on the 3rd floor for this purpose. Please talk to a security desk attendant if you have any questions.

Children ages birth to 4 will receive a numbered security tag and the parent will receive a matching tag. Parents must present this tag to pick up their children.

Your children deserve a healthy environment when they come to church. Our caregivers follow these guidelines, and we ask that parents do the same when deciding whether to bring children to church. If any of the following are observed in the 24 hours prior to church, we ask that caregivers and children remain at home:
  • Fever of 101º or higher
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Questionable rash
  • Discharge in or around the eyes
  • Green or yellow runny nose
  • Excessive coughing
  • Any communicable disease
You will be notified immediately if your child becomes ill while at church. If your child is being treated with an antibiotic, he or she should have received treatment for 24 hours before coming to church.
